We’re thrilled to kick off this semester and reconnect with all of you. Whether you're returning to continue your journey with us or joining for the first time, we’re excited to have you as part of our community. This year promises to be packed with opportunities for growth, learning, and making meaningful connections.
In this newsletter, we’ll be introducing our club, sharing what we have in store for the upcoming year, and opening the doors for new members to join our vibrant team. If you’re passionate about product management, eager to develop new skills, or simply looking to meet like-minded people, now is the perfect time to get involved. We’ll be talking about our recruitment process, the roles available, and how you can make an impact.

Who are we?
Founded in Fall 2022, Product Space @ Penn is a chapter of the multi-university organization Product Space to expose students to product management (PM) as a career and develop a community of mentors and colleagues who help each other build their knowledge, skills, and passions further, both related to PM and beyond. Check out our national website here. Our recent club alum/members have worked at amazing companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Palantir, Perpay, T-Mobile, Pattern, Ulta Beauty, NBC.
Club Composition
Fellowship (recruiting)
Our fellowship program is a comprehensive 10-week educational experience designed to immerse you in the fundamentals of product management, equip you for interviews, and expand your professional network. Through weekly 2-hour lectures and hands-on professional development tasks, you'll gain practical insights and skills that are essential for a successful career in product management. With a time commitment of 4-5 hours per week, this program offers a balance between learning and application. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to forge strong friendships with fellow students who share your ambitions, creating a supportive and collaborative community within the cohort.
Consulting
After graduating from the fellowship program, you will move on to our consulting team. You will get to work on semester-long project with experienced project managers to design impactful features for a wide variety of companies. Past companies we’ve worked with include PowerNotes, Constructable.AI, Keep.id, UpWork, etc.
Internal
The internal team is responsible for planning internal events, such as bonding activities, boba runs, and club dinner.
External (recruiting)
The External team plays a crucial role in bridging the club with the wider community, both within and outside the university. As a member, you’ll contribute to essential tasks like driving club marketing initiatives, facilitating communication with other student organizations, coordinating outreach to speakers and companies, and managing event operations. Joining the External team offers an invaluable opportunity to hone your communication and organizational skills, expand your professional network, and make a tangible impact on the club's growth and visibility. This experience will not only enhance your resume but also provide you with real-world skills that are applicable in any future career.

Fellowship Program
Our recruiting process is broken down into 2 rounds:
Fill out this form as best you can and the Product Space @ Penn team will review your responses
The top people will move on to a 30-minute interview focused on behavioral and product design questions.
External Team
Our external team is excited to have ~3 new members joining! The weekly time commitment is 1 - 2 hours. Fill out the same form, and selected applicants will be invited to a short interview to discuss their qualifications.
